Pyrite (Iron Sulphur - FeS2), is an iron sulfur whose formula is FeS2 and crystallizes inside the cubic system. The crystals of pyrite, whose specific gravity is between 5 and 5.02 and its hardness changes between 6 and 6.5, are as shiny as metals. It conducts electricity and produces a weak electric current when heated. Since it releases sulfur dioxide as the result of roasting, it is used in the production of sulfuric acid. It is found in sedimentary rocks and metamorphic rocks.

Carbon Madencilik continues to export high quality Unroasted Iron Pyrites (Iron Sulphide), produced by a group company, Kazdağı Madencilik, to its foreign customers.
